Our Team
The Golf Lab – Golf Lab Certified
The Golf Lab research and education Team
We are a golf research and education team built to translate real science into real performance. From how players move, to how equipment works, to what happens on the course, we study the game with precision—and teach it with clarity. Our mission is simple: deliver evidence-based insights, practical learning, and tools that help golfers, coaches, and fitters make better decisions.
LIAM MUCKLOW
Founder
Liam Mucklow is a lifelong golfer and performance-minded coach with a background spanning elite competition, multi-sport athletics, and sports science-driven education. Raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Liam competed in five varsity sports in high school and continued as a multi-sport varsity athlete at university—earning medals in badminton and golf while serving as captain of the volleyball team.
In 2009, Liam founded The Golf Lab to bring higher standards of measurement, coaching, and learning to the game. What began as an academy has grown into a global education platform, with an R&D headquarters originally based in Toronto, more than 1,000 Golf Lab Certified Professionals worldwide, and satellite locations including Madrid, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore. Liam’s work focuses on bridging the gap between research and real-world coaching—translating complex performance factors into practical, repeatable tools for golfers and coaches.
In addition to his work in golf, Liam has contributed to applied research in rotational sports—most notably through studies of baseball bat-swinging and high-performance athlete support—thereby further strengthening his perspective on power development, movement, and measurable outcomes. Across every project, his mission is consistent: advance performance through evidence-based insight, clear education, and results you can trust.
